The dryer does not shut off when we use the automatic cycle. I replaced the timer unit, but that made no difference. What do I do next? Replace the sensor? Thermostat? Please advise. – Ed
Check the duct work and blower housing for lint build up. It just may need to be cleaned out.
I cleaned out the duct work and the blower housing (there wasn’t much lint buildup), but the automatic dial still doesn’t advance. The dryer just continues to run on the auto settings. It works fine on the timed dry cycle.
It was the sensor. I replaced it and now everything works properly.
