Main Symptom: New circuit board install can’t enter code
What happens & when: Due to frost build up I have replaced the heater element, heater thermostat with no change. I replaced the circuit board just now and the procedure for entering the code isn’t working. There are French doors so I can’t hold down a single light switch and push the freezer down button. Do I close one door and hold down the other light switch? It doen’t seem to be working. When I plug in the unit it’s running. Is that normal without programming the new circuit board?

When the refrigerator power cord is first plugged in after installing the control, the display should show P E. Within a few seconds the power cord being plugged in, the Freezer - button would need to be pressed to confirm entry into the programming mode. The other option is to tape down one light switch, hold the second light switch, and press the Freezer - key 3 times within 10 seconds then release the light switch. Once completed, press the Freezer - key again to confirm entry into programming mode.
