help! when my wife recently cleaned our stove she removed the push-button control knobs to the control panel. when she replaced the knobs the plastic female receive pins snapped on 3 of the control panel locations. i removed the control panel and ordered a replacement thru appliancepartspros, installed the new panel and tried everything successfully. i set the oven to bake at 300 and the stove worked fine. mind you this was christmas morning and we had 20 people en route for the holiday dinner. 2 hours later we cooked the christmas dinner for 2 1/2 hrs. without any trouble. 5 hours later with the oven not in use i was on the couch in the other room and the oven started non-stop beeping and flashing F-2. after searching online i found F-2 to indicate a faulty oven temperature sensor. i removed the sensor and measured the resistance at .69 ohms. is this faulty and by replacing will it solve the F-2 code on the control panel?

any help???

The resistance across the oven temperature sensor wires suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If you got a different reading then the oven sensor has to be replaced.

Also check the sensor wires and the connection at the control board.

Happy New year!

Gene.

thanks for the tip. that’s the info the parts dept. thought could be wrong. i’ll try a new ovn temp. sensor.
