I have a Amana model#ARS266RBW, about 12 hrs ago it had defrosted itself, I turned it off for about 2 hrs and started it back up and it won’t get cold? I’m a single father of 3 and I can afford a new or even a used frig right now.
HELP???
about 12 hrs ago it had defrosted itself,
I am assuming you mean that the food in the freezer thawed and not that it just ran a defrost cycle.
You have to do more troubleshooting.
What is running and what is not re: compressor, condenser fan, evaporator fan etc.?
Is there any cooling in the freezer or none?
Here is a good link with basic fridge repair/troubleshooting info.

It has been running for maybe 8 hrs now and neither the freezer or the fridge is even cool. Let alone cold. It does seem to make a clicking noise for what seems like every 10 mins or so.
Sorry but that does not tell me what is running and what is not.
The most important item is the compressor, is it running?
Usually you can hear it also it should be warm and you should be able to feel it vibrating.
The clicking you describe may be the compressor trying to start.

Something is running. The frig hums and you can feel something lightly vibrating the frig. Like I said it clicks about every 10 mins. It isn’t even slightly cool.

You have to know exactly what is running.
The fans and the compressor can all cause vibration and humming.
You sound like a newbee to fridge repair so do some reading in the two links I supplied earlier. There is a wealth of good info there.
Your chances of successfully fixing this unit will improve a great deal if you know how a fridge works and what the different parts do.

Well if I was an “expert” I wouldn’t be here asking.

I am sorry if you feel I insulted you. I did not mean to.
It is just without some basic knowledge you will have a hard time repairing the unit.
I can only help if the information you give is correct and exact otherwise we will just go in circles. With some basic knowledge you will know what you are looking for and what seems to be a problem.
I do not consider myself an expert just a guy trying to help a few other folks save a few bucks or at the very least not get ripped off.
