Main Symptom: Activating with turn of timer knob
What happens & when: The dryer auto starts when I turned the timer knob to any of the five timed settings, but it does stop at the end of each timed period.
Error Code (if any): 0
Parts or tests already tried: I have replaced the timer, door switch, heating element, cycling thermostat, and the dryer hi-limit thermostat.

I have unfortunately replaced that part, but still the issue persists. Interestingly enough, I was finishing a load of clothes and I opened the door whilst the dryer was on the automatic dry low heat setting and the dryer properly deactivated. I was then able to close the door and choose a different setting (high heat) and pressed the push-to-start button and it worked. But, after that load was finished the problem came back. Do you think it’s a wire short?
The only other thing that can cause this is a short in the motor 279827.
