Amana Ice Cubes

Hi:

I started to use an amana refridge in the kitchen which had been in the basement and the ice/water hookup wasn’t hooked up.

I replaced the first water valve as well as the post filter valve. Water through the door works fine.

After I replaced the valve, it made two trays of ice but hasn’t made any since. The icemaker unoit cycles–the forks rotate however the trays don’t fill with water.

Any ideas?

If you manually fill the tray with water does the ice maker at least complete and eject that tray of ice cubes?

Check your freezer temperature it should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.
With a ice maker it is better to be close to the zero.
The ice makes is dependent on freezer temperature.

Thanks.

I set the freezer at the coldest temp this morning and no water in the ice maker.

The model number is ARS 9167AS-
I did manually fill the trays and it worked-the makers rotates.

Thanks

See the attachment for the tech sheet

It has a fair amount of info on the icemaker.

Can you blow through the tube from the solenoid to the ice maker?

Also here is a manual. Although it is not for your unit the ice maker in the two units looks the same so it may be useful to you.
You will have to join the site to be able to download manuals.
