Amana Glass Top Range - Instulation

This part is not an exact match. The connector is slightly larger and I am concerned about insulating the connector so as to avoid problems. The part works fine. This is the old connector:

And this is the new connector:

The concern is how close the bare connector is to the the metal housing. Since the burner floats (has movement) I would like to insulate in some way so that the bare connector cannot touch the metal housing.

What do you use that will withstand the heat that will exist when the glass top is put back on?

Or is this completely the wrong part?

I never had such problems but if you would like to replace the wire terminals with insulated terminals, you probably can find it in Radio Shack or a similar store.
