I have a Amana Gas dryer that has been acting up this week! The first thing that was noticed was cloths where not drying. I then cleaned the lint trap and all duct work to outside so all this is done and now it appears to be running hot. I pulled front cover off and watched flame to get idea of what is happening. When you turn it on it appears to start and run fine for about 3 to 5 minutes then it starts to make same chattering noise and flame turns from blue to yellow and cloths are getting extremly hot inside where should I start>?? And yes vent is clear it does this with vent unhooked just blowing air into basement for a few minutes to check!!
When you say you cleaned the lint trap and all the duct work does that also mean that you took the dryer apart and cleaned the blower housing too?
