Amana Broiler Starts Itself

I have an Amana Gas Range in my apartment that was installed six months ago. Looked new but the manual is dated 2008. It’s black with electric igniters. The problem is that recently I’ve smelt gas for short periods of time. What’s weird is that the broiler has started itself at least 3 times in the last week when all controls on the oven are off. I believe that has only happened when there was also the gas smell. What is going on?
