What happens & when: WHEN YOU SPIN AGITATOR IT SPINS FREELY WITHOUT MOVING THE TUB

Parts or tests already tried: : M is not working. Took off the auger and the plate already and there was lots of gunk piled up around bottom center of tub. What might be the problem? When the agitator was still connected you were able to turn it freely without the tub moving if that helps.

I would suspect the clutch gear AP5993402 is worn out or the shift actuator AP7014559 is bad.
You can disconnect the harness from the shifter and test the resistance of the actuator motor on the pins where the double brown and single blue wires were when the harness was connected, should be about 5.7k ohms.
Also take a look at the clutch gear and the clutch spring AP6031748 to make sure they aren’t worn.
