My dryer stopped working ine night in the middle of a cycle. I checked the breaker box and it was fine. I replaced the timer assembly even though i knew it was getting juice figuring that a component may have been bad. After replacing the timer assembly, the dryer still will not turn on. What else could be wrong? The door switch seems fine and the belt looks brand new and the drum spins manually. I need help please.
you need to replace the thermal fuse kit. the part # is la-1053 the thermal fuse is located on the right side of the heater housing up top. follow the 2 white wires, and they will lead to the thermal fuse. the kit, also comes with the the high limit thermostat, that is mounted just above the heating element. once you replace the parts, take the front of the dryer off, and clean the ton of lint that is down on the blower housing that is mounted to the front. let me know how it goes. tom applianceeducator.com - parts
