I am unsure of the manufacture date. If I set the timer, the dryer shuts off approximately 10-15 minutes after the cycle begins. I usually discover this 1-hour later and I restart the dryer and it will do the same thingin the same time span. Any idea what the problem might be. P.S. There has always been an existing problem with what I've been told is a roller problem (causing a noise that sounds as if there are a pair of sneakers tumbling inside during drying) since the dryer was given to me approximately 3 years ago.

It is very important to find out if you will be able to restart the dryer right after it shuts off.

Gene.
