For the last couple of weeks I have noticed that my Bosch SHI4306 dishwasher has not been cleaning properly -- leaving a (soap?) scum on my dishes. However, the last time I ran it, I realized that the unit had been running for more than 3 hours and was stuck in the rinse cycle. I took a thermometer out and measured the water temperature at 120F.

I'm thinking that the unit was trying to heat the water up to the desired 165F but was unable to and just continued to run. Does this sound right? What do you think I should be replacing?

Thanks

Very likely there is a heating problem. I would recommend to follow the troubleshooting instructions posted by Harold, one of the forum members, here: http://forum.appliancepartspros...troubleshoot-manual.html

Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHI4306 UC/12
