Error code F7 comes up on my wall oven. I have replaced the touch pad part#31861501B (from AppliancePartsPros). It seemed to work--set clock, light switch worked, etc--for about an hour, then the F7 code came on again.
The clock keeps time but I can't set anything else. Have to turn off the electricity to make it stop beeping. What could be wrong? A different part--ERC conv. membrane? Help!!

Unplug the touch pad ribbon from the ERC slot, turn the power "on" and monitor it for a few hours.

If "F7" would not return then the touch pad is probably defective.

If "F7" will came on again then the ERC has to be replaced.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana range Model AOES3030E

Thanks Gene for your quick reply! I unplugged the ribbon and after about 3 hours the F7 error and buss appeared. I had ordered the ERC part already, so was going to replace it. When I removed the touchpad to replace the ERC ,I noticed several of the prongs were bent where the ribbon attaches. So before I replaced the ERC, I reattached the ribbon with the prongs straightened. It has now been over 15 hours and no error Code. (I had already put in a new touchpad.) Don't know if I should return the ERC part...could this be the problem? Thanks.

I can not tell you exactly if it solved the problem or not. I would recommend to call the customer service to find out what is a dead line to return the part and keep it as long as you can (do not install it).

After about 30 hours the F7 error code came on again. Luckily I hadn't returned the ERC part so I replaced it also. It's been 4 days now so, so far, so good! Thanks!
