Recently I left for several days and inadvertently left the freezer door ajar on my Magic Chef RB214RFV. When I returned home the freezer and refrigerator had no power, were not cooling, and the refrigerator light was off. However, the ice maker seemed to be running, although water is not connected to that.

I have been told to try to reset the unit but have been unable to find a reset switch either in the manual I downloaded or upon visual inspection inside and outside the unit.

Is there a reset switch on this unit? Is this a costly enough repair that I should junk the unit?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Turn the defrost timer, located in the back of fridge, it may have stuck in defrost.
