The upper spray arm in my Bosch dishwasher (bought in Jan. 2009) doesn't seem to work properly. Water comes out of the holes on the underside of the upper spray arm running down onto the dishes on the lower rack. The upper rack doesn't get wet at all. I disassembled the spray arm because I thought some holes might have been clogged but everything was really clean. The detergent dispenser works but the tab stays in the compartment because there is not enough water to flush it out. Also the dishwasher runs long cycles - at least a couple of hours.

I added about a gallon of water and the upper spray arm works like a dream. So why is my dishwasher not getting enough water to operate correctly????
