The fridge came with the house... Right after the closing we realized there was something funky going on, as the beer we left during final pre-settlement walk-through stayed warm... did not catch that during the inspection, as the freezer section was very cold and with ice cubes, etc.

Thanks to this forum, I was able to pinpoint the problem to the evaporator fan that seized. I took it out and was going to order a new one, but, after forcing a few revolutions with my fingers, it became free. I put it back in, and the fridge works fine, for now anyway.

So, what are are the chances the fan continues to work OK? Should I wait and see, or should I get a new one?

Thanks again.

Slim but you can never tell.

I would replace it. At around $30.00 it is not that expensive.
Depending on what you store in the unit you could easily throw out that much food if it fails again.

Also it may be rotating slower than it should so a new fan will help the fridge run more efficiently.
