My father used our microwave to time something he was cooking in the oven. Instead of pressing the "kitchen timer" button, he turned it on (without anything inside) the regular way. It got fairly hot. The microwave won't even acknowledge that it is plugged in now. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

I figured it out. there is a sensor at the top right of the oven that is the overtemp or flame sensor. I unplugged it and touched the wires together and it started working. I need the part number for this. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately there is no diagrams and/or part lists available on-line for this model. You can call the APP customer service (877-477-7278)tomorrow and they will help you.
