I have 2 upright Whirlpool freezers that I need to put a locking hasp on. The built in lock is insufficient. I need to know if their are refrigerant coils in the door edges or cabinet edges near the door before I drill holes to install the hasps on the opening edge. Thanks.

Click on your model #, the diagrams show a condensing fan and coils under the freezer, far away from the upper sides.

I saw that on the diagram before I posted, but I wasn't sure if there was cooling coils sealed in the cabinet sides. I couldn't see how the cold got into the chest. I had read horror stories of people who drilled the sides into coils letting out the refrigerant. Check twice - drill once - fix never.:D
