Hey everybody. The shutoff valve under my sink is rusted and won't close. The sears installer wants $200 plus to fix it. I'm pretty sure i can do it but if someone could run down step by step for me that would be great. Don't want to screw it up you know?
thanks

The water shutoff under the sink is not a part of your dishwasher. It is a part of the house plumbing. I'm not familiar with a plumbing. Maybe somebody else on the forum can help you better.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Just to be clear, this is the valve that controls the hot water supply to the dishwasher. i cant close it so that the dishwasher can be replaced. I need to replace the valve all together. Maybe the picture will help MarcusK attached the following image(s):

If your problem is just to turn water off while installing a new dishwasher you can do it by turning off the main house water vale.
