I have a GE washer that is not even two years old and it will not spin fast. All cycles, agitating, draining work fine. When it is supposed to spin fast, it only spins slowly. Our led on the motor is blinking nine times.

9 flashes is an open brake resistor, the motor needs to be replaced. It is possible your motor is throwing the fault code for no reason, you can try this to see if it will work. Unplug the washer for 1 minute, plug back in and lift and close the lid 5 times. This clears all fault codes, run a load and see what happens. make sure the lid is closed when you plug it back in.

Juli Yes, this worked for me as well, I had unplugged the washer recently and plugged it back in quickly and since then the rinse spin was very slow....I tried unplugging for 1 minute and opening/closing the lid 5 times and now the washer spins like a top....thanks for posting!!!! you have saved us a bunch on money and time (for I was going to start taking it apart this weekend....) Thanks again!
