dishwasher with run thru cycle and then pump water out and the start
another cycle over and over. Does anyone know if the cam is the problem or the timer. I feel that it may be the cam, because you can set the
timer at any location and the same thing happen. You have to
move door lever to open position to stop dishwasher. Can anyone
advise how to fix

I would say that the timer is the problem.
Sounds like the timer contacts that open to shut the unit off are welded together.
