James,

Remove the freezer rear panel and check how the fan is working and how the evaporator is covered with snow. Post the results.

Gene,

I removed the panel ,the fins were frosted, so i de-frosted it,put everything back together then plugged the unit back up. the freezer was blowing cold air through the top vents, but nothing was coming out of the air passages in the food compartment. I notice the freezer wasn't keeping the food frozen either.
The lower part of the refrigerator was hot, only a little below room temp. butter was soft. I put another refrigerator in place( couldn't let food spoil) ,til I get this one fixed asap.

There are two knobs to set the temperature. In what positions they are?

In the coldest setting, I tried turning each knob to different setting ,but still no colder in food compartment. The other refrigerator is a whirlpool too, and I can feel the cold air coming out of the air passage in the food compart, and it is cold. But in this one no air flow at all.

Set the freezer control to "warmest - D". Wait at least 24 hours to see the result.

I did set it to the warmest setting ,but the stuff in the freezer was melting.a few stuff in lower part of refrigerator was ruining. renter is telling me the other refrigerator is working fine. But it's a small refrigerator and this model is a larger one. I paid $125.00 for the refrigerator, would still like to get it working right if possible.I'll put the refrigerator on my back porch and plug it up and let it run for the 24 hr's and see what happens.

Make sure the condenser coils (from the back and under the refrigerator) are clean.

It's better to put a refrigerator thermometers in both compartments.

You are welcome. Thank you for your good words.

One more thing. You said:

Make sure the ambient temperature is within 65°F to 80°F.
