I hear it buzz sound but cold water does not come out the warm and hot works fine.......

Cindy, unplug the washer, and shut the water off at the wall, and take the hoses off of the washer, and in side the water valve on the washer is a screan, take it out and clean it. If you hear the hum, the valve is good. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

I did what you said and noticed the strainer inside the hose is gone would that make a difference? Thank You Cindy

No, that would not make a difference. When you have the hoses off the washer, make sure the water comes out of the end of the hoses before you put them back on the washer. If it does, you need to replace the watervalve on the washer. Tom. Www. Applianceeducator.com
