Hi.. I have been noticing clothes getting stuck between the drum & front of dryer..(I open dryer door & items are hanging from drum in front) It is leaving a rust colored stain where ever the clothing gets stuck. It does come off when re laundered. Can this be repaired?

Yes, it can be repaired.

Could just be the seal between the drum and the front of the dryer is worn or has come loose.

Could also be the glides are worn. Plastic pieces that the front of the drum is supported on.

I have the same problem with my GE dryer. I hade to replace the drum bearing, glides and lower felt seal. My dryer is about 4 years old and I’m having to replace these parts again. It seems to happen about every 2 years out of warranty of cores. Luckily these parts are not too expensive. I hope you have some mechanical ability it will make this job easer to do. Repair men aren’t cheep. Good Luck!:D
