My in laws gave us their washer and dryer set a couple of years ago. The washer will fill with water and drain, but it doesn't spin the bin that the clothes are in. The thing in the middle of the bin that the clothes get wrapped around spins, but it's not causing the whole thing to spin. Any advice would be great.
Thank you in advance,
Christen

Hi Christen,

The first thing I would do is remove the front panel and check the belt.

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE washer Model WKSR2100TAWW

Gene.

Thank you, the belt was fine. The unit is kept in our garage, and it leaked when we first hooked it up about a year ago. I just had to tighten the hoses, however when I checked the belt I found out that the entire bottom panel was rusted out, and the inside parts were all rusty as well. Well, my father in law gave us another GE washer, but this one he said is really loud. I haven't hooked it up yet to figure out at which point it's making the noise and from where. Thanks again Gene!
