Side-by-side has a loud squeal behind the back of the freezer wall. It will stop when pressed through the thin metal wall. Not all the time, some days more frequent than others. Sound is behind where the ice maker would be, ice maker is removed. Both freezer and 'frig are cooling just fine.

Hi Rosemary,

Check if there is frost in the back of the freezer. Check the evaporator fan behind the rear freezer panel. This is the only moving part in the freezer.

Gene.
