Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 5/13/2010(UTC) Posts: 2		i bought a new timer and the elect. contact config looks identical, but whenn it is hooked up the only function that works is the actual timer. the dryer does not operate at all. power supply is fine. any thoughts?

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 5/13/2010(UTC) Posts: 2		thanks gene. it is a maytag dryer mod.#MDE6400AYW. the dryer quit running in mid cycle. power to the timer was confirmed, but no power out of timer. replaced it with new timer (part #AP4042974). when i installed the new timer, i can hear the timer function (clicking sound) but that is all, no other functions, at any setting position.
