My side-by-side Frigidaire has one of those small water filters inside the refrigerator in the top back right side. Ya just unscrew the cover and drop it down and there is the filter (one connector at the top).
I want to replace it with an external inline filter on the water supply line. I'm guessing I need to put in a bypass filter so the water will flow. Is that right?
There is a bypass filter that shows up when I search the web, but it appears to be for a different model. (It has two connectors at the top). My filter looks like part #WF284.
Thanks for any and all help.

Thanks for any and all help. Oops. My filter is the PureSource RG100. Also known as the WF1CB.
