I have a Kitchenaid Refrigerator, side by side, Model KSRP25FTMS, with the on the door ice dispenser. We've been having problems with the door on the ice dispenser not closing and dripping water. Tonight when dispensing ice a spring type of contraption fell out. It looks like it is some type of hinge to keep the door closed but I don't know where it goes or how to get it back on. Any suggestions.

The flap on the ice dispenser is hinged at the top. The hinge is plastic and breaks easily (mine broke in May) The repair guy installed a kit that replaces the hinge with a metal piece...it lasted just 3 months. The only other solution is to replace the whole door (yes, the dispenser cannot be replaced only). The door costs 900+ if it's not under warranty. Contact Kitchenaid...they know it's a design fault with thsi product.
