Dishwasher was working fine then one time we noticed that the soap was still in the bottom of the dishwasher and the dishes were still dirty. Upon closer investigation it appears the water fills then drains and then the cycle runs but there is no water in the dishwasher while it is doing the cycle. Where do I start looking for the problem?

Check to make sure the drain line has the drain loop installed at aprox the counter top hight before going into the sink drain pipe. If not it can sometimes syphon out. 2 Check the float switch assy, dome an mico switch for proper operation. Dom down switch closed dome up switch open, Which is wired in series with your water inlet solinoid valve.

You also may want to check the drain solenoid (#5 on the diagram).
