I have a ge front load dryer yesterday it worked fine today it sounds like a low hum but the drum wont turn also smells like it's trying dry the clothes dryer is only 15mos old

Sounds like the motor has gone bad. Open the door and, holding the door switch depressed, turn the drum by hand while someone else pushing the start switch. If it'll start to tumble, replace the motor. - The motor Part number: AP4344810

thanks Gene how long do I have before the motor goes out completely can't afford a motor right now.

since your advice it seems to be working fine it hasn't stop. I did what you told me that one time and it works like normal
