Thanks to whoever slogs through this one!
The timer will move on Timed Dry Cycle and the buzzer goes off when it should. NO HEAT, though.
Timer remains stationary on Auto Dry Regular and Auto Dry Permanent Press, but recently the buzzer also goes off arbitrarily (I was testing an empty machine to see if I got any heat.)
I replaced the ignitor a couple years back.
Also, since the problem began about a week ago, I have had heat, sometimes. The dryer ran all one night with heat. Boy, were those towels bone-dry! I can hardly wait for the next gas bill.
I'd just use a laundry line if my family didn't have such allergies.
Please help a mom with mounds of washing to do.

Umm. I'm an idiot. User error. I often clean out the exterior vent on the side of the house, but guess I'd neglected that. Dryer now heats. Double Duh. HOWEVER, the timer still only moves on the timed cycle.
