I don't have the model, will get it this evening if it's needed. This is the Whirlpool without handles, there is a slot on top of the fridge door, bottom of the freezer door.

Here is the problem: I hope there is enough info here as I know little about the workings of this refiridgerator.
I noticed water on one of the shelves, wiped it up thought it was a spill. Later I noticed more water and then heard water dripping when the icemaker cycled, then I noticed that water is coming from holes at the top of the fridge area when the icemaker cycled. The drain tray underneath has filled and overflowed.

It appears that when the icemaker fills, water runs directly into the fridge area. Some ice is still being made, I didn't leave it running to determine if there is less ice or not.

Because I don't know for sure what is happening here I've turned off the icemaker with the arm and turned off the water valve to the icemaker.

Hi Kirk,

The first thing I would check are all water lines inside and outside. Check the water feeding tube into the ice maker - it could be dislodged. The model number is important for more accurate advise.

Gene.
