I have a 24.5 cubic foot, side by side GE refrigerator. This week everythigng in the refrigerator side has started freezing. The temp is about 28 degrees, regardless of the setting. My best guess is the problem lies with the "BOARD ASM MAIN CONTROL" which I believe is the electronic control unit. Any suggestions? There must be a temperature sensor somewhere, but it seems unlikely that it is the problem.

More than likely it is you damper door has broken. To check this, take off your freshfood light shield, at the top. remove the rear lightbulb. Now look through the hole of the air chamber with a flashlight, and see if the damper door is laying there. To see if it opens and closes look through the hole while pushing the light switch, with switch closed, the door should close, and with light switch open, door should open here is a diagram to help you Model GSS25TGMAWW

Item# 426 is the damper, and item# 459 is where the damper is located
