I just ordered the timer (P/N 22003393) for the Maytag Washing machine MAV6300AWW. I was wondering how difficult it is to replace and what are the steps to remove the old timer and replace it with this new part. Thank you for your assistance. Marie

It's a very easy job. Just remember to unplug the machine before you begin the work. It takes a pro about 15 minutes. Shouldn't take you much longer. Here's a parts breakdown. Control panel replacement parts for MAYTAG MAV6300AWW Washer, Atlantis | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you.
I am going to replace the timer myself.
I guess I have to take off the knob to access the timer.
Do the parts of the knob just "pull off"?
Is there anything else I need to know?

After prying the center out of the dial, you'll see a clip holding the knob to the timer shaft. Pull the clip free and the knob will come off the shaft (there's a spring under it to assist the removal). the dial ring wil then pull off the shaft and expose the screws that attach the timer to the console. Before you open up the console, remember to unplug the machine.
