The dishwasher is leaking suds on the floor. When I feel around the door I notice there is a gap of 2 inches in the gasket on the hinge side of the door. Is this a missing connector or did the gasket shrink? What part do I need? Thanks!!

The key word in your question is "suds". There not suppose to be any suds at any given second. You have to determine a source of the suds and eliminate it. It can be a leftovers of a dish soap from prerinsed dishes or spilled and/or leaking rinse aid.
