Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 6/11/2008(UTC) Posts: 1		My dryer seems to overheat during the cycle. I have checked the exhaust and it is all clear. Have actually checked the temp coming out of the dryer at 200 F. What controls the actual temp of the machine (cycles)?

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 11/15/2007(UTC) Posts: 189		The operating thermostat control the temperature.It operates by turning the heater off and on while the dryer is tumbleing in the heat cycle.It sounds like the motor is overheating and shutting off.If you can get at the motor make sure it clean.Clear any lint build up around the motor.Once it is cleaned try the dryer.If it stops in the middle of the cycle the motor may need replacement.
