Hoping for some help on this one please.
I have a MAYTAG NEPTUNE and the front panel display is out and won't come on despite checking that it has proper 120VAC input to the control board. If I leave the power off for several hours and plug the machine back in, the front panel display will light for about 30 seconds (where everything is controllable) but then it shuts down. I know the problem isn't the EMI filter as I'm putting 120VAC into the filter and get 120VAC out which then feeds the control board. I suspect the control board but before spending $225 for the part, I'd like to know with abit more certainty. All components on the board appear fine except maybe one capacity which is slight discolored on the end. Capacity 22 (C22) is the one.
Would appreciate anyone's advice before ordering.
Thanks

If there is proper incoming voltage to the control board, then the control board itself most likely is bad.
If you need the correct part number for the control board, post the complete serial number of the washer.
Gene.

Thank you Gene for your assistance and insight. I too suspect the control board. The S/N for the washer is 98922279AV.
Thank you. Chris

Thank you. Chris Chris, Is there any prefix for the serial number? Like A4 of B5? Gene.

Hi Gene,
There is no prefix to the S/N, it is written as "98922279AV"
