Dryer recently stopped heating, it would still run fine. Found out it needs a new heating element which we have. However we do not have the instruction manual nor can we find one on the frigidaire website. Our problem is that we don't really know where the element is located and we can't figure out how to open the dryer. We have managed to get the top off after attempting (and replacing) to get the back off. Can someone please instruct us on how to access our old heating element so we can replace it? thank you!

Well it is not intuitive, so it is understandable you are having problems.

On Frigidaire basic dryers the top will "pop" up after you insert a screw driver near the edges to pry it up. This will allow you to take off the front in one pieces. Then take off the back service panel (not the back) and release the belt. You can now take out the drum and have access to the heating element.

Check the rear bearing while you are in there, and replace it if it looks the slightest bit worn. Replacing the belt and pulley are also good ideas to give you a nice complete tune up.
