Hi,

MY LG MH6144B Microwave is just over one year old and out of warranty.
The 5KV 700mA fuse has blown (The one between the transformer and the HV Cap.

I have looked up the Fuse and can get one for around £10 delivered, so it is worth having a go at repairing rather than replacing the oven, however, the fuse may have blown because something else is faulty (Magnetron, HV Cap, Diode etc).

Would really appreciate some advice on how to test a few components 1st before sticking the new fuse in and potentially wasting the new fuse.

I am competent with Multimeter, electrical safety etc. (I work in electronics, but my experience is based in medical equipment rather than domestic)

Best Regards,
Andy
