I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, model KUDI02CRBS1, that was purchased about 4.5yrs ago. Recently (ie: in the last couple of months), it's been getting progressively louder. Louder to the point where we pretty much need to leave the kitchen to have a conversation. Louder to the the point where we worry that it will wake the kids. You get the idea. :) I don't like, she definitely doesn't like it and so something must be done.

Sounds like a motor or pump or gear type of noise whenever the unit is operating (though not when it's simply drawing water).

Does that sound like the motor is on its last legs or could there be another culprit here?

Cheers!

Been a while and I wanted to give this a bump. We've been tolerating this for the present, but I just turned on the unit and the same noise is there, though it's now sounding like the motor is "slow" or "bogging" down.

What do you suggest could be wrong and what are your suggestions for repair parts?

I bought a Motor-Pump unit that just arrived and wanted some drawing to see what connects to what on line.
Thanks, Buncie
