My washer is broken. The seal for the tube ring fell off (broke in 1/2). I am thinking about replacing it on my own. Is it hard to do? I have never repair or open up an washer or any household item. thanks for the help :p

This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. The complete instructions on how to take the washer apart will help you. - The part number for the tub ring seal is AP3040287 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LA9100XTN1Gene.
