I have a Jenn-Air Model# JMW8527DAW electric oven that has stopped working that I am trying to diagnose, if I try to use the oven in either Bake of Broil the display reads FEATURE NOT AVAILABLE PRESS HELP and "id 11" is displayed to the right of the clock. When I press help the next display shows Fault Detected and 2 other options I cannot remember but when I open Fault Detected it says that I can press Cancel to reset the oven but this does nothing
Reading the users manual in the troubleshooting section it read:
If the same operation is attempted before having the wall oven repaired, the message “Feature not available” will appear. The feature will remain inoperable until service is obtained.
How do I reset this service lockout and what caused this oven to stop working? is "id 11" a service code?
I have found the User Manual but I cannot find a Service Manual for this unit.
Thank You for your help. Jim

denman, Thank you for the quick responce this is exactly the data that I needed. The fault code 1d11 = Runaway temp, door unlocked (single cavity or upper oven)
Was this condition destructice or should I be able to reset the fault once I release the service lockout?
Service Mode: (should I be able to release the lockout from within this action, or from just a hard reset?)
Follow procedure below to use the Test Mode.
1. Press
SETUP pad. 2. Press DOWN ARROW pad three times until SERVICE is displayed. 3. Press SERVICE pad. 4. Press and hold BACK and ENTER pads for 5 seconds. 5. Press SERVICE pad.
NOTE: If the oven cavity temperature is greater then 400F, the Test Mode cannot be activated or will abort the
mode if activate NOTE: Once the Service Mode is activated the control will activate the relay until the pad is pressed again.
I am going to check it again tonight. Thank you for all of your help. Jim

Was this condition destructice or should I be able to reset the fault once I release the service lockout? It should reset unless you have a bad oven temperature sensor. Re: open or a bad connection in which case the unit will think it is still over temp.
