Condenser was dirty, cleaned and found unit was not going into defrost , frost on back wall of freezer section and ice in drain pan. unplug and let defrost but I am sure it will happen again. I think it must be the mother board but would like to know forsure before I order one. can anyone please advise. Thank You, Richard

Before committing to such a large purchase, check for a defrost heater that is burnt out, and/or a bad defrost terminator (thermostat, usually clamped to the evaporator coil). Also confirm that the evaporator fan is running (It should run as long as the compressor and condensor fan are running.)
If all these components check out OK, then suspect a bad board.
