:confused:My washer will fill with water but after that it is silent, the timer doesn't advance, it doesn't agitate, spin, or drain the water, what could be wrong with it? the machine is about 12 years old, I used to be able to "wiggle" the wires and make sure that everything was connected and that would fix the problem, this time I wasn't so lucky. Help!!!!!

found the problem, after checking the continuity to the motor, which checked out fine, we pulled the circuit/control board, and it had a bad solder point on one of the pins, we resoldered the pin and the washer now works. thought someone might be interested in the outcome of this

Thank you for the tip. I too experienced similar situations with 2 Whirlpool washers that will function on only 2 of 3 wash cycles(regular or casaual). Everything checked out and by accident I touched the wiring harness in the control panel and that solved the problem. Turned out another identical unit has the same problem. Problems solved. The model is Whirlpool Wasehr model LSR5132 fr the forumers' information.
