Ice maker is working, but a column of ice forms from the tray into the holding pan. The column of ice is at the left side of the pan as you look into the freezer.
I am assuming that if the fill volume was not correct the water would end up in the bottom of the pan and freeze rather than create an ice column.
A slow leak from the tray would allow the ice to form as a column.

Are my assumptions correct? Do I need to replace the entire ice maker if the tray is leaking?
