Timer will tick in the off position and not advance, put the timer on run marks and dryer will run until door is open or unit it shut off.

Near your timer is an electronic control moisture sensing boardwasher 001.jpg. Yank it out of its little socket and clean the corrosion off the copper. reinstall it. Next wipe the sensors off inside the back wall of the dryer. Get all the goop off of them if any. Plug the dryer back in and try a load.
