My ice maker water valve either did not shut off or it is leaking by causing a glacier to form in my ice dispenser. I have shut off the water and removed the ice. Can you help me with the part that needs to be repaired or replaced?

by ice dispenser do you mean the ice bucket, or the actual ice dispenser in the door? if you mean the bucket, it could be caused by a slow ice maker motor, calling for water for too long, or it could be a bad water valve, not closing completely, could be both. i can only guess online. the ice maker should call for water for a period of 8-10 seconds, but its hard to describe the difference whether its the ice maker or the valve.

remember, you're dealing with water, and possible leak damage to your home. it might be worth it to have a qualified refrigerator repair professional at least diagnose it for you.
