I just started using my dryer.... it was running for about 5 minutes and then I opened the door to add something to dryer. I closed door and turned the start dial to the right and all I got (still get) is a hum while I am turning the start dial. It never had a burning smell. I can't afford a repair man. Can you help me with what you think is wrong, the part you think I need by buy and how to fix it instructions?? (Recently fixed our washing machine by changing out the water pump.) Thank you, thank you, thank you. Barbara Ellen

Get a friend to help you. With the door open depress the door switch and have your friend press the start button. Turn the drum with your other hand, and if it starts up the problem is likely the motor.
